I was told... by dental clinics as far away as Leeds and Manchester that there would be a five-year waiting period to see a dentist using NHS. It tried to find information about paying for routine dental cleaning out of pocket but didn't get responses from the clinics. I got distracted by my studies and gave up. In June I moved to Oxford to intern at a lab and, having gone 14 months without a dentist, I was experiencing some inflammation of my gums due to gingivitis. I finally contacted some dental clinics in Oxfordshire to see what their policy is on emergency appointments. Deddington Dental responded quickly and scheduled an assessment with a dentist within a 48 hours. At the meeting, my dentist addressed my concerns and invited me to schedule a routine cleaning with one of his hygienists. This was scheduled three weeks later.The price actually reasonable and my teeth and gums feel a lot better.read more

I moved there from my National Health dentist when I had to get specialist help and then I stayed even for hygienist appointments. They noticed things that my National Health dentist hadn't noticed and gave me preventative treatment and advice which I wasn't getting before. Happy to say Deddington Dental have been my go-to dental practice for a couple of years now. I knew before first... visiting that I needed a lot of work done after years of neglect but, with a comprehensive and collaborative plan agreed, most of the work has now been completed.Where additional work is needed beyond their usual range of services, they have on-premises visits from dedicated specialists.They have been very responsive and accommodating whenever there was been a pain issue or something requiring urgent attention, even responding out-of-hours on Sundays to arrange an appointment for first thing Monday morning.Obviously, being a private practice there is a cost involved for treatment. However, the charges have always been reasonable, with several appointments to fix issues not resulting in a charge.I am happy to recommend Deddington Dental, although also a little trepidatious doing so in case this results in appointments becoming harder to get. :-)read more

Having not been to the dentist for a few years, I broke a tooth over Christmas. At an emergency appointment, Dr Akim... Gupta put in an amazing temporary filling that lasted for months!
It was obvious, however, that I needed to have quite a bit of work done on my teeth. Dr Gupta was very thorough, taking X-rays and photographs, and then taking time to explain, carefully, the steps that needed to be taken.
I needed several fillings, including some that were quite deep, but experienced no pain whatsoever either during the treatment or afterwards. Dr Gupta is brilliant - I could not recommend him highly enough.read more

Fantastic Dental practice, after a thorough consultation with Dr Akhil Gupta, I had 3 teeth extracted last week under... sedation due to being extremely anxious, I had been putting this procedure off for a number of years. The team were absolutely amazing, and went above and beyond to ease my nerves, Carelyn Isaac who carried out the sedation and contacted me before and after the procedure, Dr Sophia Sophia Puri who explained everything in very clear detail and the Dental Nurse Zoe who was also brilliant, they have all in turn restored my confidence, thanks also to Karen on Reception who is empathetic and also is clearly skilled in explaining everything, thank you so much, I have been putting this off for a very long time and am so relieved to have found such a great Dental practice that I will continue to visit for regular check ups.read more
